1. How can an investor purchase units of Canara Robeco Mutual Funds?
An investor can subscribe to units of Canara Robeco Mutual Fund by any of the various modes:
• Physical Mode
• Online Mode
Physical Mode:
In a physical mode, the investor has to submit a completely filled physical subscription application from along with the cheque and necessary documents at any of our branch offices or kFintech (earlier known as Karvy) branches before 3.00 pm.
Online Mode:
Through transacting online on our SmarTInvest portal (https://www.canararobeco.com/smart-invest/sign-in/) or other exchange platforms like Stock exchange platforms (eg. MFU, NSE-MFSS, BSE-BSE Star mutual fund platform)
2. Can an investor purchase units without login?
If the investor is an existing investor of Canara Robeco MF, then he/she can purchase online by logging in with PAN. If the investor is new to Canara Robeco, he/she needs to get registered with the mutual fund.
3. How can an investor transact through the SmarTInvest portal?
The SmarTInvest portal enables investors to transact online by logging in. Investors can use their Internet banking account/UPI/ OTM to make an investment in any of our schemes. They can do various transactions such as Purchase lumpsum or SIP, switch, redeem, STP and SWP.
4. Can an existing investor get details of all his investments in one place?
Yes, an existing investor can get all details of his/her investments with Canara Robeco MF in the home page under the tab of Dashboard. Details related to current valuations, asset allocation pie chart and statuses of various transactions are all displayed under the Dashboard tab.
5. What is a folio number?
A folio number is like a bank account number which depicts the investor’s holdings in the schemes of the fund house. There is no restriction on the number of folios that one can have with a fund house. However, it is better to a minimal number of folios as it eases the task of tracking all investments.
6. Does the investor have to remember all the folios registered with Canara Robeco MF in order to transact online?
No, once the investor logs in and selects the transaction option, the page will direct to the list of all folios registered with Canara Robeco MF along with the names of the first applicants and the investor can select the folio from which he/she wishes to do the transaction.
7. How to invest in direct plan?
The investor can select ‘direct plan’ while transacting and will be directed to the following page in the portal.
8. What are the details required to invest in regular plan?
If investing in regular plan, the following details are additionally required to be filled:
• Advisor’s ARN code
• EUIN
• Branch or sub-broker internal code
• Sub-broker ARN code
However, the last 3 details are not mandatory and will depend on the advisor.
9. Can an investor make additional purchases in existing schemes or only make fresh purchases in different schemes?
No, an investor can do both by choosing the scheme he/she wants to invest in. The portal will direct the investor to a page where the list of all his/her existing schemes will be mentioned. If the investor wants to invest in a different scheme, he/she can mention the name in the space provided.
10. What are the payment options available in the portal?
Investors can make payment through internet banking, OTM and UPI.
11. How to make payment through Net-banking?
Once the investor selects Net-banking as the payment option, the portal will direct to the following page for confirming the amount of transaction and the bank account details.
Once all the details are confirmed, the page will get directed for One Time Password (OTP) which is usually sent to the registered mobile number or email id as selected with the bank.
After submitting the OTP, the transaction is completed, a purchase acknowledgement is displayed with all the details of the transaction.
12. How to make payment through UPI?
In order to make payment through UPI, the investor has to have a UPI ID linked to the bank account he/she wishes to make the transaction from. If the UPI ID is available, then the Virtual Payment Address (VPA) has to be verified in the website. Once it is verified, the investor will receive a notification in his/her UPI application and will have to authorize the payment through the same.
13. What is the procedure for redemption?
In case an investor wishes to redeem from any of the open ended schemes of Canara Robeco Mutual Fund, he/she needs to submit the redemption request form duly filled in all respect, which can be downloaded from our website. The request can be submitted at any of our branches on all business days. The transaction will be processed as per the applicable Net Asset Value (NAV) as on the date and time of receipt of the request.
Alternatively, investor may also redeem using our SmarTInvest portal by logging in and choosing the ‘Redeem’ option under the ‘Transact Here’ tab.
